There you have it. The year is coming to an end. Another year in the books. The chapter is closed. A new chapter begins tomorrow.
Let’s talk about the elephant in the room, shall we?
Where have I been? My blog has been sitting on the sidelines waiting to be called off the bench. Well, life happened.. Seriously, though!
For starters, I took a tech and society class two semesters back and got kinda weird about data mining, biometric technology. Consequently, having my pics (and my littles) out in the webisphere forever and having no control over how or when those shared images will be used. In the process, I stopped sharing images of myself and immediate family.
Secondly, I was hustling, seriously! Taking a full load of high-level courses, mothering, wifing (is that a word) and all things adulting had me filling up my plate rather quickly. Additionally, the (one hour each way) ATL commute drained me. Le sigh.
Life happened in a refreshing way! Our marriage was restored! Mr. Austin returned home! Hallelujah, hallelujah!
God Almighty lead my dear husband and me on the path to marital reconciliation and restoration. Feel free to check out my other posts on marriage here and here.
Hubs and I embarked on a journey to become debt free! Because prior to taking Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace Universty, I (we)never had a written budget. We had no idea where our hard earned money was going each month. Sure, we browsed our accounts online but it stopped there.
After taking FPU at our awesome church, Mr. Austin and I got serious. Dave Ramsey is a fairly frequent name in our home and for good reason too. FPU showed us that we had the power to tell our money where to go each and every month. We are well on our way to be debt free. Cheers to gazelle intensity!
At the age of 34, I graduated!I now hold a Bachelor of Science in Sociology!! While it was a process, I crossed that finish line.
At the present time, I am unsure what lies ahead on this blog for 2018 and the years to come. She is Planted’s core mission is to encourage women around the world. In the hope that you will plant your faith, hope, and trust in the Lord. Our God is forever faithful.
Happy New Year, dear friend!
