I realize that some of my readers may not be wives or mothers at this point in their life. These women are in college who love the Lord. While I’m not college age anymore (cheers to being thirty-something!) I still am a college student. I attend Kennesaw State University full-time as a non-traditional student. My major is Sociology and I am so glad to be nearing the end!
We Are In This Together
I’m right there with ya when you have assignments, papers and more papers to write, projects, midterms to study for and final exams! I felt led to write this prayer for all the women headed back to school after our winter break. As we embark on another season of learning and deadlines, I wanted to offer this prayer.
How Does She Do It
I have personally prayed this prayer as I am taking on five courses, handling being a mommy to four, a wife and full-time worker outside of our home. Yall, I need this prayer like daily and I am just beginning my second week! Some of my fellow classmates have asked how on Earth I handle being a full-time student with all my other responsibilities? The truth is, I can not handle it in my own strength. It is Jesus Christ and Him alone who gives me strength to continue pursuing my degree.
Philippians 4: 13 “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”
A Prayer for this Spring Semester
I thank you for this semester. Lord, I thank you that I am one step closer to achieving my goal of obtaining my degree. I ask for your wisdom and guidance as I take these classes this semester. Help me not to get overwhelmed with all of the assignments, quizzes, papers and exams. Enable me to learn what I need to learn so that upon graduation, I can apply that knowledge. I pray that I’m a lighthouse to my fellow classmates. Help me to make the right decisions when I get tempted. Lord, help me to take this semester one day at a time, not becoming overwhelmed. I pray that your truth ” I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength” will resonate in my mind. Heavenly Father, I thank you for a peaceful spring semester. I thank you for the high aptitude for learning. Thank you for blessing me this semester. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
